What I Ate Wednesday: Vegan (#20)

Welcome to the first What I Ate Wednesday post of 2018! Not much has changed; I’ll still sharing with you delicious vegan food I eat on a typical day. Now let’s get into what I ate on this particular day:


Weirdly enough, I’ve really been craving smoothie bowls at the moment, even though it’s really cold and gloomy outside in the morning. This was a spirulina banana smoothie bowl, and it was delicious. It was actually my first time ever trying spirulina, and I was really happy with the taste! I’ve heard so many good things about this green powder, and whilst it smells a little funky, you barely taste it in a smoothie. I topped this bowl with peanut butter, raspberries, chia seeds and granola.


I’m paying special attention to getting my greens in at the moment. It seems that the flu is going around so I want to try my best to avoid catching it, and one way I’m doing that is stocking up on greens. This lunchtime salad consisted of spinach, couscous with roasted veggies, guacamole, hummus and these delicious veggie sausages from Gosh!. I really enjoyed these sausages because they’re not fake meat-like, but just made with wholesome veggie ingredients.


Every once in a while I get myself a delicious treat. Living in London, I am lucky enough that there are so many places that offer amazing vegan options. This was my first time trying Crosstown Donuts; they offer vegan donuts on Friday’s, Saturday’s and Sunday’s. I went for the classic vanilla glazed donuts and it was AMAZING. I’ve had many vegan donuts, but this one was by far the best. If you’re ever in London, I highly recommend you try them out.


As it’s so cold at the moment, a warm comforting soup is perfect for dinner. The recipe for this pumpkin soup is actually on my blog (recipe here!) and it’s by far my favourite soup. It’s full of veggies and so flavoursome. I usually have some toast or crackers with this as well.
